The Planning Station agreed to help Positive For Young People, a Community Interest Company.
They are based North Wingfield, Derbyshire and aim to restore the former Gladstone Buildings, Clay Cross, Chesterfield to a Community hub providing numerous services and facilities including a reading lounge/library, museum, tea rooms, baby sensory room, art gallery and community rentable meeting room.
It was great to help this non-profit organisation that is Lottery Funded. I prepared the Design and Access Statement and assisted Director, Julie Marriott, in lodging her planning application for the change of use of the premises.
I can now confirm that Northeast Derbyshire District Council has approved the application and P4YP can commence their development without delay.
I am delighted that I have been able to help achieve a positive outcome and I wish P4YP all the very best bringing their community hub to life. [7 February 2017]
