A wealth of knowledge & experience

I have over 20 years’ planning experience, a host of ‘in job’ planning training, a certificate in planning enforcement from Cambridge University and can draw on qualifications and experience in surveying, building management and management. I genuinely believe this broad knowledge and experience gives me the edge on the planning ‘battlefield’.

I have worked for National Park, Unitary and Borough local planning authorities in development control and management divisions.

I have significant experience representing Local Planning Authorities at planning appeal, in the Magistrates’ Court and in responding to formal complaints and complaints investigated by the Local Government Ombudsman.

My articles have been published, I have presented workshops at national and local forums and have provided inter-authority enforcement training.

I have a working knowledge of the Freedom of Information Act, the Environmental Information Regulations and the Police and Criminal Evidence Act.

I am an Associate member of the Royal Town Planning Institute, a member of the Institute of Leadership and Management and the National Association for Planning Enforcement (NAPE). I am proud to have served on NAPE’s Management Committee.
